disparities in birth outcomes.
Wisconsin Births and Infant
Deaths (annual report; PDF format)
This annual report presents information about births that occurred in a given
year to Wisconsin residents. Information from previous years is also presented to show changes over time. Included is information on the number and rate of live births; demographic characteristics of the mother, such as age, race, marital status, education and number of previous births; characteristics of pregnancy and delivery, including the trimester that prenatal care began, number of visits, and whether the mother smoked during pregnancy; and birthweight of the newborn. Also included is information about infants who died before their first birthday, and fetuses of more than 20 weeks gestation who were stillborn.

This annual report presents data on births to Wisconsin teens in two main sections: "Statewide Information" and "Local Information." Data files used in the report are: resident birth certificate file, matched infant birth-death file, fetal death file and the reported induced
terminations of pregnancy publication.
Infants and Pregnant Women Community Health Profiles (tables)
These profiles provide health information about Wisconsin at the local level. Each profile is a series of tables for a given geographic area. Each is available for individual counties, selected cities, the five Department of Health and Family Services regions, and the state as a whole.
