Wisconsin
State Health Plan:
Healthiest Wisconsin 2020
|
The Department of Health Services is required by state law
(s. 250.07(1)(a), Wisconsin Statutes) to develop a public health agenda at
least every 10 years. In 2008, DHS and its partners are beginning work on
developing the next public health agenda or "state health plan."
A Strategic Leadership Team (SLT) is providing collaborative leadership to
guide the development of "Healthiest Wisconsin 2020: A Plan to
Improve the Health and Safety of the Public."
|
|
|
Healthiest Wisconsin 2020 will be designed to influence public health
policy, provide direction to assure sustainable public health resource
allocations, and provide guidance to protect the health and safety of the
5.6 million people of Wisconsin. The SLT will collaborate with the Data
Expert Advisory Group (DEAG) and the Infrastructure Expert Advisory Group
(IEAG) to identify an approach for determining statewide health and
infrastructure priorities and objectives.
