Security Maintenance
The Security Maintenance window
is only accessible by a user logged on with a valid user identification
(ID) and password with assigned administrative authority. The security
maintenance function is used to:
- Assign additional user IDs.
- Reset a password for a user.
- Delete obsolete user IDs.

To enter or edit a user’s information, follow these steps:
- Click Security.
- Click Security Maintenance.
- Enter a user ID. If you select an existing user ID, the user
information boxes will populate with the user’s data.
- Enter or edit the Password box. When a password is assigned or
changed through the security maintenance function, the password is
automatically set as expired and the user will have to change his or
her password at the first login.
- Enter or edit the Authorization Level box. Users with an
authorization level of "2" will not have access to the
security functions in PES.
- Click Save to save the new user information or Add to
add an additional user.
