Procedure/HCPCS List

The Procedure/Healthcare Common Procedure Coding System (HCPCS) list allows you to create a list of procedure codes used most often when billing on 837 Outpatient, Professional, and Dental claim forms. As with other lists, once the code is entered into the list, it may be accessed from drop-down boxes within the claim form screens. To enter procedure codes, follow these steps:

1. Select the Lists option on the menu bar.
2. Select the Procedure/HCPCS list.
3. Enter data into all of the required boxes on the Procedure/HCPCS screen using the table below as a guide.
   

   Procedure/HCPCS List Field Description Procedure/HCPCS Enter the Current Procedural Terminology (CPT), Current Dental Terminology (CDT), or Healthcare Common Procedure Coding System (HCPCS) code. Description Enter the procedure/HCPCS code description. The description can be up to 60 characters and spaces.

4. Click Save to save the data or New to add a new procedure code.
