Lists

Place of Service List

The Place of Service (POS) list allows you to create a list of POS codes used in the claim forms. As with other lists, once the code is entered into the list, it may be accessed from drop-down boxes within the claim form screens. To enter a POS code, follow these steps:

Refer to your service-specific Medicaid Updates and handbook for applicable POS codes.

  1. Select the Lists option on the menu bar.
  2. Select the Place of Service list.
  3. Enter data into all of the required boxes on the Place of Service screen using the following table as a guide.

    Place of Service Code

    Enter the two-digit place of service (POS) code.

    Description

    Enter the POS code description. The description can be up to 60 characters and spaces.

     

  4. Click Save to save the data or New to add a new POS code.
