Rights and Responsibilities

Each provider is responsible for reading all Wisconsin Medicaid publications for nurses in independent practice (NIP), such as Wisconsin Medicaid and BadgerCare Updates, the All-Provider Handbook, and service-specific handbooks, and also for following the Medicaid policies and procedures as specified in these publications.

Each provider is also responsible for the timely submission of his or her own complete and accurate information to Wisconsin Medicaid. This includes recipient records, prior authorization (PA) requests, claims, and any other situation where information is required.
