Your recertification packets have been mailed. In order for you to maintain certification, you are required to complete these materials. If you did not receive a packet, call Provider Services at (800) 947-9627 or (608) 221-9883. These recertification materials are due at Wisconsin Medicaid by May 31, 2008. If Wisconsin Medicaid does not receive correctly completed recertification materials, your Medicaid certification will expire.

Attention All Providers Except Blood Banks, Community Care Organizations, Personal Care Only Agencies, and SMVs:
A second notice NPI collection letter has been mailed to providers who currently do not have an NPI on file with Wisconsin Medicaid.  Please take action immediately to report your NPI for the Provider Number that is listed on the letter.  Providers are required to report their NPI to Wisconsin Medicaid by May 16, 2008.  Failure to report NPI information will result in denials when electronic claims are submitted with an NPI only.  Submit your NPI by using the Web-based application via the link on the Medicaid Web site at dhfs.wisconsin.gov/medicaid/.

Attention Trading Partners:
The revised companion documents incorporating NPI and related data are available on the Wisconsin Medicaid Web site at dhfs.wisconsin.gov/medicaid/.  Trading partners should review the companion documents to ensure they are prepared for NPI modifications to standard electronic transactions.

Attention All Providers:
Information in the April 2008 BadgerCare Plus Update (2008-30), titled "Implementation of National Provider Identifier," contained incorrect information. The information on 835 Health Care Claim Payment / Advice transactions for 837 transactions and for National Council for Prescription Drug Programs Version 5.1 transactions was incorrect. Providers should download the revised Update to ensure accurate 835 Response information.
