Wisconsin Childhood Lead Poisoning Elimination Plan
2010
Mission
Wisconsin has adopted the mission to eliminate childhood
lead poisoning in Wisconsin by 2010.
Phase 1: [Completed]
Developing a strategic plan to eliminate
childhood lead poisoning was completed by June 30, 2004. For more
information about this phase, click here. The original Wisconsin
Childhood Lead Poisoning Elimination Plan (PDF,
6160KB) was updated and revised in August 2006 (PDF,
6118KB).
Phase 2: [On-going]
Implementing and evaluating the
Elimination Plan is actively ongoing. Four subcommittees meet year round
to implement the activities set forth in the four major areas of the
workplan. An advisory group, the Implementation and Oversight Committee
(IOC), meets 3 times per year (January, May, and September) to track the progress of the subcommittees
and make recommendations for action. For details about upcoming meetings,
please contact the Wisconsin Childhood Lead Poisoning Prevention Program,
608-266-5817.
Subcommittees
Four subcommittees were formed to implement the activities
included in the four major areas of the elimination plan. The
subcommittees meet independently of the IOC and report their progress at
each IOC meeting. For details of activities and meeting dates, contact the
