Helping Keep Wisconsin's Children Healthy
Helping children develop healthy habits at an early age
is important. The habits they develop while they are young will
follow them throughout their lives. Children often mimic the behaviors
of those they are close to and see regularly. This is why it is
crucial for parents and caregivers to be good role models and to set a good
example by living a healthy lifestyle.
Part of being healthy means being active and eating well.
Children should get at least 30 minutes of exercise a day, 5 days a
