This compendium profiles state-level programs aimed at improving
birth outcomes through a variety of approaches which meet the
diverse needs of the states. It is intended to be a source of
information sharing among state public health agencies to help
them achieve optimal birth outcomes. Twenty-one states and one
territory contributed program information to the compendium.
