Plan:
Implementing the Plan: Regional Forums
Purpose
- To mobilize action around the implementation of the State Plan.
- To engage partners and key stakeholders in obesity prevention and
management efforts.
- To develop skills in the intervention design process and selection
of appropriate strategies.
- To increase coalition and stakeholder capacity to implement
effective interventions.
Regional Forums - Five regional forums were held in August
and October 2006. Materials from the forums can be found
below.
Forum Materials
State Plan Presentation (PDF, 1.9 MB) - A copy
of Mary Pesik's powerpoint presentation on implementing the State Nutrition and
Physical Activity plan.
Changing Behavior Effectively (PDF,
1.4 MB) - A copy of the powerpoint presentation by Amy Meinen and Jon Morgan
that describes the steps in developing an effective nutrition and
physical activity intervention.
Action Plan Flow Chart
(PDF, 33 KB) - A flow chart the lists the
8-step process for developing a comprehensive nutrition and physical
activity intervention and provides pick boxes of possible options for each
step.

Planning Worksheet
(PDF, 9 KB) - A blank form that asks questions
to walk the user through an 8-step process for developing a comprehensive
nutrition and physical activity intervention.
