Agency
Protocols: Oral Health Services
This page from the Division of Public Health provides
access to samples of agency protocols for the placement of dental sealants
and the application of fluoride varnish in public health settings.
The Governor’s KidsFirst initiative includes improving access to
preventive oral health measures such as dental sealants and fluoride
varnishes. The Division of Public Health recognizes the major role of
local health departments in increasing access to oral disease prevention
for Wisconsin residents.
The Division recommends that, as local health
departments adapt these protocols to their particular settings, they
consider having legal counsel review them before they are implemented.
Questions about dental sealant and fluoride varnish
agency protocol, or about program assistance, can be directed to Warren
LeMay, DDS, Chief Dental Officer, at (608) 266-5152.
