The 2007 Summit is focusing on Cancer Health Disparities 

Differences in who gets cancer and dies of the disease still exists in Wisconsin. The 2007 Summit will bring partners from around the state together to discuss the problem of cancer health disparities and what we can all do to work to eliminate these disparities.

Keynote Speaker - Dr. Harold Freeman 

The event's keynote speaker will be Dr. Harold Freeman, Senior Advisor for Eliminating Cancer Health Disparities at the National Cancer Institute and Medical Director of the Ralph Lauren Center for Cancer Care and Prevention. Other highlights of the day include: 

  1. Cancer Survivor Panel Discussion. 
  2. Plenary on Wisconsin's Assessment of Cancer Care and Satisfaction Survey Results. 
  3. Breakout sessions focusing on underserved populations in Wisconsin. 
  4. Promising Projects Poster Session. 

Summit Information

The Summit will be held on Thursday, April 19, 2007 from 8:00 am - 4:00 pm at the Radisson Hotel - Milwaukee West (exit DHFS), 2303 N. Mayfair Road, Wauwatosa, WI.

Hotel reservations can be made by calling (414) 257-3400. A block of rooms has been reserved at a discounted rate of $72/night for Wednesday, April 18th and Thursday, April 19th. Please mention "WI Cancer Control Summit" to receive the discount when you make your reservation. Rooms will be held until March 18, 2007. 

Registration
