"moves" are updates or fixes to the CARES system.
Each month, this page will include the moves that will have
the greatest impact on CARES users. CARES moves are
generally made each month on the Friday after adverse
action. Move dates are planned in advance, however, for a
variety of reasons, decisions may sometimes be made to delay
or change move dates. This page will be updated monthly with
the best information available. |

- Pre-CWW (CARES Worker Web) conversion. The question on
ANIQ:
"Is anyone in your household incapacitated"
will be protected and not updateable. If the question
was previously "?", it will be changed to N.
Existing ANIC screens will be protected and effective end months
will be added.
This question (and the corresponding ANIC
screen) is no longer needed for eligibility and FSET exemptions
should be entered on ANDI. In the future there are plans to
delete existing ANIC screens.

- There will be a slight re-design
of SMUM screen. The changes will include:
- the removal of fields
not used: removing the worker’s SSN, Position Number,
Home Address, the Service Provider indicator, and Office Hours.
-
the addition of four fields: Adding the Employer’s Name, Employer Type (public or
private) Worker’s E-mail Address, and the worker’s CARES
Worker Web security profile.

- Enhancements to FEIN Find: This
change will enhance the search function for employer Ids.
For example, if an employer has 4
business locations, he has one federal ID and 4 unique state IDs.
This will give the worker better results when searching, they will
get all 4 state Ids to better identify which employer location the
person is employed by.
