  • American Lung Association of WI
    Fights lung disease in all its forms, with special emphasis on asthma, tobacco control and environmental health.

  • Children's Health Alliance of WI
    A diverse network of organizations, agencies and individuals dedicated to improving the health and well-being of every child in Wisconsin.

  • Fight Asthma Milwaukee Allies
    FAM Allies works together with children and families connecting them to caring people, reducing hospital stays and supporting healthy lives.

  • Smoke-free Wisconsin
    A diverse group of organizations that supports comprehensive legislation to prohibit smoking in all indoor public places, including public buildings, workplaces, offices, restaurants, and taverns.

  • Wisconsin Tobacco Quitline
    Offers free, confidential coaching on how to quit smoking or chewing tobacco. The Quit Line has already helped more than 50,000 callers. The quitline coaches offer tips, resources and help callers formulate a plan for success.

  • Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources
    Wisconsin DNR notifies Wisconsin residents about unhealthy air quality using a new system called Air Quality Watch / Air Quality Advisory. The new system includes the two main pollutants likely to cause health problems in Wisconsin -- ozone and particle pollution (PM2.5).

  • Healthy Youth
    Asthma is a leading chronic illness among children and youth in the United States.

  • Quest for the Code
    Starbright CD-Rom game teaches kids how to avoid asthma triggers, use asthma devices and medications correctly, identify asthma myths and explain asthma to friends and classmates.

  • Student Center
    Students in middle and high school can explore a wide range of environmental issues.

    Details the efforts of 14 research teams around the country to change the outlook for children with asthma through programs that range from community-based coalitions to new reimbursement models in Medicaid managed care and provocative emergency department interventions.

  • National Asthma Educator Certification Board
    The NAECB exam is a voluntary testing program used to assess qualified health professionals knowledge in asthma education. It is an evaluative process that demonstrates that rigorous education and experience requirements have been met. Certification is voluntary and is not required by law for employment in the field.

    A non-profit specialty nursing organization which represents school nurses, and is dedicated to improving the health and educational success of children.

    An asthma management program for schoolchildren aged 8-11 who have been diagnosed with asthma.
