Re: A Research Report Titled "Living and Aging with Cerebral Palsy"

I want to bring to your attention the attached research report (sponsored by the Waisman Center and the Wisconsin Council on Developmental Disabilities) by Maureen Arcand on cerebral palsy and aging. Ms. Arcand used focus groups of persons with cerebral palsy to identify the various issues of aging and cerebral palsy.

The report contains important and interesting findings regarding people with cerebral palsy experiencing the aging process. The impact of the aging process, unique to individuals with cerebral palsy, is well described and will be a helpful document for individuals with cerebral palsy. Agencies and other people who provide support services will also find valuable insight and recommendations. Please share with your staff and individuals as appropriate.

If you have questions or comments regarding this information or may be interested in having a training on Aging with a Disability please contact Maureen Arcand at 2610 Myrtle Street, Madison, WI 53704, (608) 244-1520 or by email at maureenarcand@yahoo.com.
