Administrator's Memos (Formerly DFS Administrators Memos)

Child Welfare Policy Memos:

  • Numbered Memos are used to convey child welfare related policies or procedures.  They include directives on new regulations, clarification of existing procedures or changes in state statutes or Departmental policies which affect the operation of child welfare programs.

  • Information Memos contain material which is strictly informational and time-limited.  They include announcements about budget allocations, provide details on quality assurance reviews/results, give details on new pamphlets or announce public hearings.

Regulation & Licensing Memos are used to convey information to providers and programs licensed by the Division of Children Families . They include information on new regulations, state laws, policies or procedures affecting child care centers, group foster homes, residential care centers for children and youth, shelter care and child placing agencies.

eWiSACWIS Operations Memos offer information about new or updated reporting driven by the Wisconsin Statewide Automated Child Welfare Information System. Other memos will discuss areas of the eWiSACWIS application affected by policy and procedural changes and standards of practice updates.
