Community Grievance Decision Digest

This Community Grievance Procedure Digest contains summaries of the decisions made via the State Grievance Examiner in the Client Rights Office and the Administrator of the Division of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services.

These decisions were made at Level III and Level IV of the HFS 94 grievance procedure.

The main intended audience is grievance personnel -- client rights specialists who make decisions at Level I and county staff who make decisions at Level II of the grievance process.

This digest is intended to give them easily accessible technical assistance in how the patient rights laws and rules are being interpreted at the two highest levels of the grievance process.

While much of the digest is technical in nature, consumers may also find it helpful to see how decisions in grievances are made at Level III and Level IV of the grievance process.

For more information on the digest and its content, see the Introduction section.
