The Department of Health and Family
Services Affirmative Action/Civil
Rights Compliance Office works with the Department's contractors and vendors to ensure compliance with
federal and state laws, regulations and departmental policies and procedures
prohibiting discrimination in employment and service delivery.
The Office develops and administers the Department's Civil Rights Compliance Plan
for contractors/vendors to comply with their federal Title VI
responsibilities. The Office also investigates discrimination complaints.

assist with compliance.
Civil Rights Compliance Requirements for 2007-2009
Recipients and Vendors of federal and state funded
programs/services/activities from the Wisconsin Department of Health and
Family Services (DHFS) and Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development (DWD)
are required to submit a Civil Rights Compliance (CRC) Letter of Assurance
or a Civil Rights Compliance (CRC) Plan for the period of January 1, 2007
to December 31, 2009. These recipients include counties, municipalities,
school districts, universities, profit and non-profit entities, and
certain procurement vendors. The following page contains the Instructions
and other essential information for recipients and vendors to complete a
CRC Letter of Assurance or a CRC Plan to meet their civil rights
compliance requirements.

Civil Rights Training on Assurances and Plan Requirements for DWD/DHFS
Recipients 2007-2009 -- present a live webcast on November 14, 2006 from
9:00 - noon CST. (First two hours is the training, third hour is
technical assistance.)
