        2008 Quality of Life Training Series

We are pleased to announce the fall - "Quality of Life Training Series" for County Certified Adult Family Home, State Licensed Adult Family Home and CBRF providers and Social Workers serving persons who are elderly or who have a disability.  This announcement describes the three training events scheduled for September, October and November.  Participation is open to all providers in the state and attendees will receive three training hours for each event attended.

October 21, 2008 "Community Support for People with Challenging Behaviors"
Speaker: Paul White, MA
November 18, 2008 "Behavioral Challenges in Dual Diagnosis:  A Psychiatrist Perspective"
Speaker: Jeff Marcus, M.D.
   and
  "Mental Health and AODA, Dual Diagnosis"
Speaker(s): Kris Hutchison and Julie Feld

The following is the same for all training events.

Time:  THERE IS NO PREREGISTRATION
Registration - 8:00 to 9:00 AM
Please try to arrive a bit early so we can start on time
Training - 9:00 AM to Noon

Fee:  $5.00 pay at the door -- cash or check
Checks payable to Brown County Human Services

Credit:  Three Training Hours

Location:  Student Lecture Hall
Northeast Wisconsin Technical College (NWTC)
2740 W. Mason, Green Bay, Wisconsin

Special Accommodations:  If anyone is in need of special accommodations, please contact Gary Tilkens (see below) at least two weeks prior to the scheduled training event.  

Parking:  Park in Lot F - go through the Center for Business & Industry to Lecture Hall.  

Special Note:  Bring a sweater, the room tends to be cool.
