Responding to Challenging Situations Training

Training Overview:

This class helps direct caregivers understand and develop skills to deal with the challenging situations often encountered when caring for persons with dementia and other cognitive disorders. This class also discusses effective ways to deal with clients whose abilities and needs change over time. Participants have an opportunity to actively participate in identifying person-centered approaches to common challenging situations.

Training Goals:

  • Enhancing the Quality of Life for Persons in Your Care
  • Understanding the Facts about Dementia and Other Conditions
  • Responding to Challenging Situations

Training Logistics:

The full training is 4 hours in length but can be broken into three shorter segments of roughly 80 minutes each.
