Current Single Task Worker Grandparenting Policy

Back to Wisconsin Feeding Assistant Program - Introduction

Single task worker programs that were previously approved by DQA, must verify the single task worker completed a training course that meets the federal minimum eight-hour training requirements for a feeding assistant (see Wisconsin Feeding Assistant Training Requirements).

Facilities may give these employees credit for their work experience with the selected resident population to satisfy the Wisconsin Feeding Assistant Training Requirements.

Facilities may issue their single task workers who meet the federal minimum training requirements a certificate to verify their grandparented status.

Single task workers who have not met the minimum feeding assistant training requirements covering the federally mandated topics in the eight (8) hour minimum outlined in the Wisconsin Feeding Assistant Training Requirements must be provided the necessary hours of instruction on those missing topics by Saturday, July 31, 2004.

An employee who does not meet the minimum feeding assistant training requirements by July 31, 2004 may not be used as a feeding assistant until s/he has satisfactorily completed a feeding assistant training and competency evaluation.
