How to Apply
For the Katie Beckett Program

Contact the Katie Beckett Consultant located in the region where the child lives.   A map is available of the service areas and agency for each Consultant.

The Katie Beckett Consultant will talk with the family about what the program offers and whether or not the family should apply on behalf of the child.  If a parent decides to apply, the Consultant will send an application packet and arrange a home visit to meet the child, go over the application materials and answer questions.

Eligibility determinations for the Katie Beckett Program are made by nurses employed by the Division of Long Term Care, Bureau of Long-Term Support.  A required re-certification is done annually or whenever significant changes occur.

Recipients should notify the program of address changes, changes which may affect eligibility, or any problems in getting the MA card by calling 608-266-3236.

For more information, contact the Katie Beckett Program at (608) 266-3236.
