SIGN UP FOR BADGERCARE PLUS AT FOUR LOCATIONS IN WAUKESHA COUNTY
Community-Based Organizations Are Providing Application
Assistance to Waukesha County Families
MADISON - Uninsured and underinsured Waukesha County residents can
now get help signing up for BadgerCare Plus at four community-based
organizations. Since February 1, all kids and more pregnant women, parents
and caretaker relatives have been able to sign up for BadgerCare Plus.
"BadgerCare Plus makes providing access to quality, affordable
health care for all kids achievable," said Secretary Kevin R. Hayden.
"BadgerCare Plus is simple and will provide health care coverage that
our children deserve at a price families can afford. I strongly encourage
any Waukesha County family that does not have health insurance to visit
www.BadgerCarePlus.org or go to any one of the four community-based
organizations to learn more about BadgerCare Plus and get help signing up
for the program."
BadgerCare Plus offers health coverage to every child in Wisconsin by
streamlining Medicaid, BadgerCare and Healthy Start into one comprehensive
program. BadgerCare Plus allows every Wisconsin family, regardless of
income, to buy affordable, comprehensive health care coverage for their
kids. Low income families will be able to enroll their children into
BadgerCare Plus at no charge. Higher earning families will be able to buy
into the program for as little as $10 a month for each qualifying family
member.
