Use the form below to search in any of the Medicaid Handbooks by typing in specific words or combinations of words. The text search engine will display a weighted list of matching documents, with better matches shown first.

is a brief explanation of the query language is available, along with examples.
Query Language
The text search engine allows queries to be formed from arbitrary Boolean expressions
containing the keywords AND, OR, and NOT, and grouped with parentheses.
For example:
- reimbursement claims
- finds documents containing 'physician' or 'billing'
- physician OR billing
- same as above
- physician AND billing
- finds documents containing both 'physician' and 'billing'
- physician NOT billing
- finds documents containing 'physician' but not 'billing'
- (physician NOT assistant) AND billing
- finds documents containing 'billing', plus 'physician' but not 'assistant'
- auth*
- finds documents in a wild card search that start with auth, (i.e., authorize, authorizing, authorized)
