Revision of approval criterion for certain brand medically necessary
drugs, 11/1/04
Effective immediately, the Department of Health and Family Services
is revising one approval criterion for certain brand medically
necessary (BMN) narrow therapeutic index (NTI) drugs.

Effective September 1, 2004, Wisconsin Medicaid and BadgerCare fee-for-service recipients
and all SeniorCare participants will be required to have prior
authorization for certain brand name drugs.

100 Day Supply for Prescription Drugs,
8/3/04
Wisconsin Medicaid, BadgerCare, and SeniorCare allow a limited number of
maintenance drugs to be dispensed in a 100-day supply to assure continuity of
use for certain necessary medications.

Preferred Drug List (PDL) and Supplemental Rebates, 7/12/04

clinically sound drug therapy for recipients, the Department of Health
and Family Services (DHFS) will expand the selection of preferred
medications based on a review of the relative clinical effectiveness
and cost of products within selected therapeutic classes.
