Program
- The Disability Benefit Specialist Program is a service of the
Aging and Disability Resource Centers. This program provides
benefits counseling for adults 18 - 59 with physical disabilities,
developmental disabilities, mental illness, and/or substance use
disorders.

- A Disability Determination is a finding made by disability
examiners and medical professionals at DDB that an individual has an
illness, injury or condition that meets the legal definition of
disability in the Social Security Act. Disability decisions for
Wisconsin residents are made by the Wisconsin Division of Health
Care Financing, Disability Determination Bureau (DDB).

- Pathways, with input from key stakeholders including consumers,
advocates and policy makers, identifies current systemic barriers
and designs creative pilots to address them. The goal is to
test innovative solutions to existing problems and incorporate them
into the overall consumer-driven, systems change movement in
Wisconsin.
- Supplemental Security Income
- Supplemental Security Income (SSI) is a monthly cash benefit paid
by the federal Social Security Administration (SSA) and state
Department of Health and Family Services (DHFS) to people in
financial need who are 65 or older or people of any age who are
blind or disabled and residents of Wisconsin.
